Free eye camps in Earthquake affected areas
Two powerful earthquakes of high scale magnitudes struck Kashmir and the south-western province of Baluchistan. The POB Trust has set up eye camps for earthquake victims of Kashmir (2005) and Baluchistan (2008). After extensive planning and preparation, the Trust provided eye care to victims of earthquakes. After extensive planning and preparation, the Trust provided eye care to victims of earthquakes. In those eye camps the free of cost services rendered by POB Trust included screening, eye examination, prescription of glasses, minor treatments and surgeries for eye diseases. The Trust has treated 4500 OPD patients and performed 250 Surgeries for earthquake victims of Kashmir and Ziarat. The Trust has played a critical role in sight saving mission in Kashmir and Baluchistan. Other than free eye care services, the Trust has distributed gifts among 106 students of earthquake affected areas of Ziarat. The gifts included school bags, books, copies, pencils, stationary, candies etc. these all gifts were donated by donors of the POB Trust
